Features
Go ahead and jump in the puddles with the Brooks Cascadia 16 GTX.
Brooks took their flagship Cascadia 16 trail shoe and added a lightweight GORE-TEX upper that gives you full waterproof coverage. The lightweight GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane is bonded directly to the upper for a light, flexible fit that keeps your feet warm and dry.
Mud and debris will stay out of your shoes thanks to a gusseted tongue construction and gaiter tab on the heel that secures trail gaiters for extra protection. This shoe also contains drainage ports so water can escape quickly if you step into a creek that goes up to your knees.
These trail shoes are ready for technical terrain. Brooks enhanced the adaptability of the shoe by changing the midsole and outsole construction to allow it to mold easily to the ground, improving the stable ride. They added more release grooves in the midsole to help running on rough ground and the TrailTack rubber outsole provides wet-dry traction so you can run through puddles or snow. One reviewer said âI wouldnât be afraid to take these on an extremely rocky trail. The tread is grippy and reminds me of aggressive tires youâd want on an off-road vehicle, but itâs just in a great shoe.â
They also updated the Ballistic Rock Shield, including vertical grooves to protect against pebbles and rocks while adapting to uneven terrain.
Brooks made the Cascadia even softer by adding their new DNA Loft v2 to the midsole and 2mm of extra foam to the midsole for added comfort. This makes it 5% softer and 20% lighter than previous versions. Perfect for those long trail runs or hikes.
The softness and cushion of the Brooks Cascadia 16 GTX combined with the outsole and GORE-TEX waterproof upper make it the perfect trail shoe for beginners and experienced trail runners alike.

Keep me dry
These are indeed waterproof they have good grippiness not as much cushioning as my street running Brooks but they are for running a dog in the rain in and out of a park.
My go-to rainy day shoe
I love these shoes! I live and run in the city but wanted a pair of shoes with grip for rainy or slippy days/areas and these have worked great so far. Comfortable from the start (I gradually wore them in before running in them). I typically wear a size 9 but always wear a size 9.5 in Brooks shoes. The 9.5 fit really well. I have a narrow ankle but wider toe box - these felt roomy enough but still supportive. Would recommend!
GREAT SHOES FOR TRACTION & WET WEATHER
LOVE THAT MY FEET STAY DRY WITH GREAT SUPPORT & TRACTION.
