Meet the Team:

Brandon

Brandon, our Store Manager, started at Road Runner in November 2015. Graduating from Shepherd University in 2003 with an Exercise Science degree, Brandon moved to Baltimore MD to work at Loyola University Maryland as an Athletic Trainer. During the four years he was a Loyola, Brandon was introduced to many Division 1 athletes - Swimming, Diving, Cross Country, Lacrosse, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, and Tennis. While at Loyola, Brandon met his wife Jessica. They have a 5 year old girl. When he is not working at Road Runner, Brandon can be seen running OCRs, or enjoying a quality strength training workout. His life motto: “Today is. Tomorrow may be.”

Mark

Mark is the assistant manager at Road Runner Running Store. He is an International Spinning® Master Instructor since 2002 and is also a SPINPower® Master Instructor. Mark founded The Endurance Club, a successful triathlon, cycling and running coaching and personal training business in 2000, which he runs with his wife Vivian. Mark completed 6 World Triathlon Championships in all distances, including a hallmark achievement as the fastest UK finisher at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii in 2004 and has a personal best in the Ironman of 9hrs 15mins.

Spencer

My name is Spencer Beasley, I have been with Jackrabbit since it started its chapter in Richmond, January of 2013. It's been over 11 fun years of working in running specialty shops for me and I truly believe we can change someone's life just by custom fitting a pair of shoes for our customers. I am a husband, father of two beautiful girls and a Firefighter/EMT-B full time.

Chris

Chris Mazella has worked part-time for the company for over 5 years. He works full time as a history teacher in Richmond Public Schools. He enjoys training for big races and leading the weekly fun runs from the store! Go Bills! Go Sabres!

Max

Max is a longtime member of the Richmond, VA outdoor community through cycling and running alike. He is currently attending Willamette University in Salem, OR running XC and track, and studying political science with an eye towards law school.

Jamie

Jamie Turner is originally from northern New Jersey and has lived in Richmond since 1993. Jamie attended Boston College, and got his MBA from The College of William & Mary. He began running recreationally during college years and completed his first marathon in 1987, the New York City marathon. He has completed additional marathons, and recently qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon, with his son, Matt, who also qualified. When not out for a run, Jamie enjoys getting out on the golf course, too.

Monday:

Every Monday join us at 7:00 PM outside the store for a fun run. We have a 3 or 5 mile route for you to choose from, led by pace leaders from our store.
